Architectural

Across my architectural career and education I’ve accrued a few things that I am particularly proud of. They are included here.

The

Charleston

The Charleston is a house I designed for a competition at Neumann Companies. Harbor Homes was being founded as a new company to serve a different part of the new-home construction market and a portfolio was needed quickly. My design for a compact three bedroom home was chosen to be finalized and added to that portfolio. One of the first to be completed is pictured above.

The

Dublin

The Dublin was one of the first occasions I had to truly flex my modeling and drafting skills. An immensely complex house structurally, it was a challenge that I relished. This was to be one of the crown jewels of Tim O’Brien Homes’ portfolio, based off of the home of Tim O’Brien himself, and I was proud to make an excellent product not just for the marketing and sales team, but for the design team that would be working from this master model for years to come.

Custom Revit Families

While working at Progressive AE I took every opportunity I was offered to exercise and hone my skills creating custom Revit families. Pictured here are two families I created for an automotive program. Each family has multiple types that feature distinct visibility and transformation parameters and settings. The families themselves are also made of custom subcomponents I created that are designed for use in future extensions of the furniture catalog.

QSR Remodeling Program

Working on a series of QSR remodeling projects was one of the most valuable experiences of my professional life. It was a program that created a lot of problems for the team, and ended up as a failure by the numbers, but having been through it I know it now in a different way. If you’re curious, ask me about it some time.

Sketching the Veneto

It was the experience of a lifetime for me to travel to the Veneto to deepen my connection with architecture through an intensive hand drawing course. I am forever grateful for the opportunity.
